Why should I do a NEBOSH Fire Certificate?

In 2020/21 there were almost 12,000 business premises damaged, 14 fatalities, and 743 casualties caused by fires. All of these fires were preventable and lives could have been saved with the right fire safety management in place, but not all businesses are aware of what their responsibilities are or what they have to do. Also with the new Fire Safety Act 2021 due to come into force after the Grenfell Tower inquiry, which has introduced more stringent measures for fire safety especially around the role of responsible persons, there’s no better time to learn about fire safety for both your business and for your home.

Having someone in your business who has the NEBOSH Fire Certificate qualification will satisfy the need to have a competent person in fire safety management who can advise the business on:

  • Who should be the responsible person and what their role and responsibilities are
  • The consequences for not having adequate measures in place
  • Principles of fire & explosion
  • Fire hazards
  • Fire risk assessment
  • Fire prevention & protection
  • Emergency planning
  • Fire detection systems
  • Fire warning systems
  • Fire evacuation
  • Fire fighting
  • Best practice for fire safety techniques
  • How good fire safety management can benefit your business

Personally, the NEBOSH Fire Certificate will provide you with the knowledge to provide expert fire safety advice, advance your career and do some good. The course is also fascinating and a brilliant learning experience. Here is some of the feedback from our recent learners:

All learners will be offered the opportunity to spend the day going through the practical side of fire management within buildings with our fantastic tutor who has many years of experience serving with the fire service. We will also provide coaching and support for both your open book exams and fire risk assessment practical assessment and are now working to the new NEBOSH syllabus.
